The test plan involved understanding each process, creating a script to run the entire process automatically, enter test data wherever necessary and thereafter load the scripts multiple times in order to perform load test. We could successfully increase the load from 1 user to simultaneous 200 users and monitor the performance. The tests were performed via a Citrix environment. A comprehensive database of emerging managers and other financial service providers was available in Microsoft SQL server. We created a FileMaker and PHP application to gather data from these service providers. The service providers were categorized among various groups and a focused questionnaire was prepared for each category. Backend database was designed in FileMaker and PHP based front end application populates the data for all users who sign up. I was involved in the Design and Development of the project. Project: Online Ticket Reservation System Technology: FileMaker Pro 8.0, XML-XSLT, HTML, JavaScript. Solution: This application is like a shopping cart application, except that the goods on sale are tickets for various entertainment shows in town. Being a web based application it had stringent security requirements and features such as printing reports or sending PDFs via e-mail. I was involved in the Design and Development of the project. It uploads various kinds of digital assets and products data to FTP via the web, sends an email with attachment of Specimen copy of .csv, .xml file for importing data. An extremely complex FileMaker application, with little over 700 layouts and 1100 tables supports all functions of the store starting from order management, inventory control, sales promotion schemes, vendor management etc. A web based e-commerce application is supported by this FileMaker Database. We created systematic test case scenarios for testing the FileMaker application. The test plan involved understanding each process, creating a script to run the entire process automatically, enter test data wherever necessary and thereafter load the scripts multiple times in order to perform load test.
