Bio for Paul de Halle

Paul de Halle founded Linear Blue in 2000 specialising in advanced cross-platform database development. Paul started working with FileMaker in 1987 after leaving college, where he obtained professional qualifications in database and application development using Pascal and Cobol. Over recent years he has gone on to form the FileMaker Developers Association in the UK, and run it for the first three years; talk at various UK FileMaker events and FileMaker DevCon in the USA and has been a regular contributor for FileMaker Advisor magazine.

Bio for Darren Kayes

Darren Kayes joined as Managing Director of Linear Blue in 2005, to develop and harness the potential of the Linear Blue's ethos and principles of business.Darren worked as a FileMaker developer in the late 90's but diversified into setting up and running his own ISP, which he ran successfully for several years. His company was the first in the UK to host FileMaker 4 on the web.A long time fan of both FileMaker and the development community, he has worked in and around the FileMaker community for many years.

Simon has been developing FileMaker databases since the late 90s and joined Linear Blue in 2006. Over this time he has developed database systems for clients in many different industries from Order Processing to Book Publishing. Simon’s BSc in Chemistry from Thames Valley University comes to the fore in his analytical skills and he is certified in FileMaker versions 7 through 11.

Damian has been a database developer with Linear Blue since 2007. During this time he has developed complex FileMaker solutions in a broad range of industries from Finance and Investment to Manufacturing to New Media Promotion. Damian graduated in Production Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire in 1996, attained his Masters of Engineering from Kingston University in 1997 and MBA from Heriot Watt in 2006. He holds certification in FileMaker versions 7 through 11 and in Oracle MySQL 5.

Ian has an impressive resumé amongst FileMaker developers and is an internationally recognised authority on all things FileMaker and is frequently invited to speak at industry events. In his 15 years of experience he has developed award-winning custom database systems as well as software products that are in daily use by tens of thousands across industries as diverse as investment banking, recruitment, events management, advertising and education In his role as Development Manager, Ian handles our increasing project management requirements. Certified in FileMaker versions 8 through 11, Ian is also well versed in other database platforms which drives him to constantly push the boundaries of what is possible with FileMaker Pro.

Rob founded a web design company company which was acquired by Linear Blue in 2009 in order to bring web development to bring professional web development services in-house. After graduating from Warwick University with a bachelors degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Rob entered the world of web development. He began by supporting a development team then moved on to running his own team as development director. His skills include extensive knowledge of PHP / HTML / Javascript / CSS / Ajax methodologies and Flash / Actionscript.
