Bio for Keri Courtain

Keri has been developing FileMaker databases since 1991. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. degree in Marketing, Management, and Telecommunications & Film. She went on to earn her MBA from Willamette University, with a focus on Finance and Statistics. FileMaker entered her world when she was Director of Promotions and Publicity for a small record label. She went on to work as a FileMaker developer for an IT consulting firm, and began her own consulting business, Data Bridge Northwest, in 2000. In 2005, she met her current business partner, Kate Lee of Field Element. The two began collaborating on projects together, and it wasn't long before they realized two brains were better than one! Fiddlehead Software was officially formed in 2008 with the merger of these two companies. Keri is a FileMaker 8 and 9 certified developer, and lives in NE Portland with her husband and two young daughters.

Bio for Kate Lee

Kate started as a FileMaker developer with a video post-production company based in New York City. The system she implemented there included project and inventory management, a work order and help desk system, and integration via ODBC with a SQL based scheduling application. She started her own consulting business, Field Element, after moving to Portland, which has now merged into Fiddlehead Software. Kate is a FileMaker 7, 8 and 9 Certified developer.

Bio for Tom Fitch

Tom has over 15 years experience as a FileMaker developer. He was a
featured speaker at the FileMaker Developer Conference in 2007. Past
careers include graphic and website designer, Macintosh consultant,
and musician. He’s a Certified FileMaker 7, 8, 9, and 10 Developer and is
a moderator on FMForums.com, where he enjoys helping fellow developers
with their FileMaker questions. He joined Fiddlehead Software in
January 2008.

Bio for Michael Sloper

Michael graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. degree in Computer and Information Science. After graduating he moved to Portland where he spent a few years in the IT world. He held the position as IT Director for a family law firm with 5 offices through out Oregon and Washington. The law firm was featured on Apple’s website for innovative uses of technology. Looking to get back to his roots as a Software Developer, Michael took a job as a Filemaker Developer for Pre1 Software. He worked on Pre1’s vertical market solution for 3 years before leaving Pre1 for Fiddlehead. Michael is a FileMaker 8 & 9 Certified developer.
