Bio for David Knight

Dave has been a FileMaker developer for over 20 years and is a Platinum Member of FileMaker Business Alliance. He is certified in FileMaker 7/8/9/10. ?Dave won the FileMaker Excellence Award Winner for Outstanding Technical Support in 2001 and has spoken at numerous FileMaker Developer Conferences, and entertainment industry events on technology. He is the founder of the FileMaker Developers in Southern California (FMDiSC) Group.

Bio for Chris Jackson

Chris's technology background includes a 10 year career in production management and budgeting in the Feature Film/Television, post production and visual effects industries. Chris transitioned from the entertainment industry to computer software with a move to a major computer game development company. He then spent the better part of the next two years honing his interface design skills, which enables him to bring an intuitive user experience to his business software systems.

Since 1999 Chris has designed and managed many complex database applications for entertainment, corporate, government and niche clients. He has particularly strong skills in needs discovery and the design of complex scheduling systems. He is a passionate photographer; some of his work adorns the walls at ACD.

Bio for Joe Gold

Joe has broad experience with a wide variety of organizations, spanning entertainment, education, government (with a particular focus on fire departments) and more. Prior to joining Angel City Data, Joe did work for such companies as Disney, Amgen, and UCLA. While at Disney Consumer Products, Joe was a database administrator and developer working in Access, Excel, and Visual Basic. On his own, he created and sold a very successful FileMaker runtime application, "The Actor's Office," designed to serve the marketing needs of actors around the world. He is certified in FileMaker 8-11. (He's been using FileMaker since 1995.) Lately, Joe has been working on handheld device connectivity.

Joe is known for his outstanding customer service and creative problem solving skills. On the side, Joe is an actor, writer, and filmmaker. His feature film, Never Say Macbeth is available on Netflix, Amazon, and iTunes, and on his website, neversaymacbeth.com. Joe also enjoys performing magic.

Bio for Bill Krauss

Bill bridges the gap between the worlds of business and technology. He has many years of design and development experience with a broad range of web and database platforms. He takes a "whole systems" approach to workflow analysis and technology development, paying special attention to the interaction between people and the systems they use. (Personal motto: "To the user, the interface IS the application.") He has certifications in Oracle database administration and application development, FileMaker 10 development, and UNIX system administration.

In addition to his long career as a software designer and developer, Bill has at one time or another time spent as a record producer, audio engineer, marketing executive, web and graphic designer, voice actor and photographer.
