24U s.r.o., based in Prague, Czech Republic, was founded in the year 2000 with a narrow focus on the development and modification of software and delivery of customized software solutions. In 2002 the company became a member of the FileMaker Solutions Alliance (today's FileMaker Business Alliance), as the first company in Central and Eastern Europe.

With FileMaker and Mac experience reaching back into the early 90's and developing FileMaker plug-ins and AppleScript additions since 1997, 24U has become recognized a key vendor of plug-ins for FileMaker Pro.

Constantly crossing the borders of FileMaker Pro, we started integrating FileMaker solutions with the outer world, making it talk to different kinds of external devices.

We have made FileMaker Pro talk to a telephone PBX, weight goods on a digital scale, measure physical quantities, read RFID cards and barcodes, control traffic lights and model trains, exchange data with medical instruments, and control various other devices. We have tamed FileMaker Pro to respond to commands from iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad .
